This is probably the most frequently asked question by adults. You are never too old to benefit from an orthodontic treatment if the health of your teeth, gums and supporting bone structure is not jeopardized. Adults' facial bones are no longer growing, therefore certain corrections cannot be achieved with braces alone. However, dramatic facial changes are now being achieved with a combined approach of surgery and orthodontics for individuals who elect to receive this type of treatment. In less severe cases, Invisalign or treatment without wearing braces (with clear aligners) is also available. However this treatment may not be for everyone, and it is only for the right candidates. Therefore, each case must be accurately diagnosed, and treated by an experienced specialist in orthodontics.
