Initial Visit:
We would like to make your initial visit a great experience as with all the other subsequent visits to our offices. This visit will be very informative, and your general questions will be answered. If the patient is a minor, attendance of only one parent is usually sufficient for this visit. You will know just about all you need to know.
Once it is determined that the treatment is indicated and timing is right, Dr. Izadi will give you his preliminary diagnosis and treatment objectives based on the clinical exam and any other tools that might be available to him at that visit, such as a recent panoramic radiograph, etc. He will go over the areas where treatment is indicated and corrections are necessary, and will demonstrate various appliances or braces that are essential for treatment. The cost of treatment in need will be quoted by Dr. Izadi, and the breakdown of the fees such as any insurance payment/s (depending on the insurance information already being provided to us), and out of pocket expenses will be explained and prepared by the office manager. If at this visit you opt to proceed further, the diagnostic records which includes a Panoramic radiograph, a skull radiograph, extra and intra-oral photos, and impressions of the teeth for study models will be taken so that a definitive diagnosis can be made. A diagnostic fee, which is part of the fee already quoted will be charged and collected at this visit,. Should you decide to re-schedule an appointment to get the diagnostics taken later, or just decide not to use our services for any reason, there will be no charge for this visit.
The Second Visit (with the diagnostics in hand):
On this appointment which is about 3-4 weeks after the initial visit, Dr. Izadi blocks quality time to go over the final diagnosis and treatment plan sequencing with the patient and parents, based on the diagnostics taken a the previous visit. We strongly suggest that if the treatment is being rendered for a minor, that both parents to attend this meeting so that all questions could be answered effectively. Once again, Dr. Izadi will clearly explain what Phase of treatment is indicated, how the treatment is rendered, and of course the appliances in need will be demonstrated. All the additional questions will be answered in depth, a contract will be drawn, a deposit will be paid and of course the treatment gets started.
