This may or may not. Phase I is not an alternative to Phase II treatment. Orthodontists can correct and preventĀ problems during Phase I treatments, thatĀ certainly cannot be corrected later when the patient is in permanent dentition. However, in most cases ultimate results and detailing of the bite may require full braces (Phase II) after completion of the first Phase, and it does not mean that Phase I is a myth.
