The first step is an initial complimentary consultation with Izadi Orthodontics. This provides the opportunity to evaluate your dental health concerns, or those of your child, and to discuss cosmetic goals before recommending treatment. Your Izadi Orthodontics team will examine your teeth, gums, and jaw joints, as well as take any necessary x-rays for a comprehensive understanding of your overall oral health and facial structure. Your initial visit will include:
- Review your dental and medical history forms
- Perform a complete oral exam, with X-rays, to determine whether treatment is necessary
- Help create a customized treatment plan
- Discuss all financial information, insurance options, and payment plans
Dr. Izadi’s knowledge, expertise, and passion for the role that orthodontics can play in a patient’s long-term oral health serves as a foundation for the personalized care you can expect from our team. Once the consultation is complete, patients leave with a personalized treatment plan for their consideration, or we can schedule your first appointment at this time and begin the process of creating a new smile for you or your child.
Routine Orthodontic Check-Ups
The number of visits required during your orthodontic treatment will be dependent upon the type of braces you are using and the concerns we are treating. Typically, patients visit with us every 4 to 8 weeks so that we can monitor progress, look for any damage to appliances or braces and make adjustments as necessary. These periodic checkups play an important role in keeping your treatment on track and ensuring the best possible result.
During your routine checkups, we take the time to provide personalized oral hygiene tips. We strive to help our young patients care for their braces and their oral health in the best way possible.
We know that today’s families are busier than ever and offer convenient office hours to accommodate your schedule. If you need to cancel and reschedule a visit, please contact us at least 24 hours prior if possible.
Second Opinion Orthodontic Consult
Izadi Orthodontics offers complimentary second-opinion orthodontic consults for both children and adults. If you would like an experienced opinion about recommended orthodontic treatment, contact our Timonium office to schedule a consultation with Dr. Izadi. We may ask that you bring any x-rays or dental records taken during the initial consult to this appointment. Izadi Orthodontics will also complete any additional diagnostics necessary to evaluate your dental health fully.
Izadi Orthodontics takes pride in helping patients achieve a straighter, healthier smile that not only improves the aesthetics of their appearance but also their long-term dental health. Once your braces and oral appliances have been removed, the most important part of your treatment begins- retaining your new smile with proper and regular retainer use.
We place great emphasis on the use of a retainer to maintain tooth position and avoid relapse over time. Izadi Orthodontics will provide personalized post-treatment retainer use instructions and request a follow-up appointment in about a year to evaluate your teeth and jaw joints, looking for any signs of change that may need to be addressed. We want you to feel good about your new smile for a lifetime.
